Our Healing Voices

"Doing Grief in Real Life" with Shea Darian

Episode Summary

Grief and life transitions can feel overwhelming, but we don't have to navigate them alone. In this episode of Our Healing Voices, Aaron Lahman is joined by spiritual care provider and grief educator Shea Darian to discuss practical, soulful approaches to moving through loss, honoring life transitions, and fostering genuine healing within ourselves and our communities.

Episode Notes

What a profound honor it was to sit down with Shea for this conversation.

After our mom passed in November 2022, my sister introduced our family to Shea's work. Living near the church where Shea was hosting Healing Circles at the time, both my sister and dad found immense comfort and support through her gatherings—and they’ve continued to stay connected with the Doing Grief community in meaningful ways. I was also fortunate to spend one-on-one time with Shea, navigating my own journey through my mom’s transition.

I’m truly grateful to share this conversation with you. Whether you are actively moving through a loss or walking beside someone who is, I believe this dialogue will inspire you to show up with greater presence, vulnerability, and self-compassion—helping you tap into your own innate capacity for healing.
